A Backyard Dream

Meagan + Zach // October 10

Meagan and Zach's day was nothing short of peaceful, joyous and completely dreamy. When I found out the two were having a backyard wedding at Meagan's parent's home I was even more excited for their day. Meagan and her gals got ready in her childhood room, they did each other's hair and make-up and just had the most relaxed morning soaking in the excitement of the day.

Meagan's mother, Donna, has the most magical backyard and garden space. Meagan told me prior to their day that her mother is always in the garden, and sure enough when I showed up on wedding day she was in the backyard making sure everything was perfect. All her hard work showed off so beautifully during this wedding day! Hydrangeas, Lilies, Ferns, Elephant Ears, Roses, Hibiscus and so many more!

This backyard made for the dreamiest intimate wedding ceremony. Meagan hand lettered all the signs and walked down an isle made of vintage rugs! I love these details and how home-y they made the day feel. But it didn't take all of this to make their day the most special - it truly was the joy of their family and friends and Meagan and Zach's calm and down to earth personalities that made the day feel just right.

Many of their guests traveled from far places to celebrate with them, so it felt like a giant reunion. So many hugs and laughs! I felt like more of a friend than just a photographer at their wedding, simply because how kind and real they were to me. I'm so thankful for the love Meagan and Zach share - they are such models of true love and are full of a light that is so contagious! And their wedding day was a true representation of that.

The day couldn't have been done without these incredible vendors. A huge THANK YOU to all of them!!
