Prints are Important | New things for 2016

One of my favorite things about growing up in my home was the constant reminder of memories.

My parents had albums upon albums stashed away on our living room shelves, filled from all of lives special moments, from their wedding and honeymoon to mine and my brother's first months alive. My mom made sure that my brother and I had professional pictures made each year, and with the passing of time, our walls were crowded with framed portraits.

Even when we didn't go to a studio to get pictures done, my mom and dad would always have a disposable camera in hand to capture just ordinary days growing up. After a bit, I'd see the rolls of film stashed away in a gallon ziplock and all the prints laid out if not in a frame on the shelf.

Prints remain one of the most meaningful ways people enjoy their photographs. It's a tangible thing that can be treasured for years. To me, prints are nostalgic.

Today, we take more pictures as a society than we ever have. Smart phones, digital cameras, etc. have made capturing moments so convenient and fun. But with such a large amount of digital memories accumulating over such short periods of time, it's so easy to just let those moments sit on a hard drive or on our phones.

It's so easy to do -- especially as a photographer it's so hard to print as much as I shoot. But today I want to make a change. I want to print more. I want to be present. Shoot more. But also soak in more real moments. Maybe even set my camera down for a few.

And I want you to join me. I want you to soak in all those magical moments and look back at your photos that remind you of all things special to you. Your pictures are more than still frames; they are the only tangible preservation of moments that will last a lifetime.

Beginning this year, I urge you to have prints made of your precious memories. Showcase them on your walls. Put them in photo albums. Hang a few on the fridge. Scrapbook some.

When you inquire about a session, you'll receive more information about the professional quality prints I offer. I'll also provide information on how to care for your prints, USBs and other products.

In addition to prints, I now offer beautiful, customized lay-flat storyboard albums. These hardcover albums are linen, with very thick gloss pages. All layouts can be designed just for your wedding photos. For all of my couples, these albums can be added to your wedding package. They will arrive safely in a perfect little gray box.

Another exciting addition for 2016 are my new wooden USB boxes. These boxes hold your custom USB which contains your photos.

For everyone reading this, you're probably wondering, "How do I order my prints?" or "When can I look at a sample album?"

The time is now, friends. And ordering prints and albums is simple and fun.

If you're interested in adding an album to your wedding package, please contact me over here and put 'wedding album' in the subject line. I'll answer any questions you may have, send over more information and we can find a time to meet over coffee so you can look at my sample album.
